“My name is Taariq Jones and I'm a first generation college student. While attending the University at Albany to pursue my undergraduate degree, I served as a captain for two years of the men’s track and field program. Upon graduation, I decided to enroll in the full-time MBA program to not only further my academic career, but to challenge myself. Within the program, I chose the concentration Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) because in every aspect of business, everything flows through technology and every business needs to comply with Human Resources. A combination of both curriculum has offered me the optimal skills and tools to further my career.  During my time in the program, I have reached achievements such as a GPA above 3.5 and an amazing internship with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in the summer of 2017. After completing the internship, I accepted a full-time job offer from PWC. I have to thank not only the administration of the MBA program but the students and colleagues who supported and guided me on this journey toward my master's degree. It has been such a humbling and rewarding experience. I've grown a lot and have learned many things about myself. As graduation approaches, I can confidently say the MBA program has carved me into a cutting edge professional ready to take on the world.”
